The Problem
What's actually inside a conventional cotton swab?

Off-gassing
Polyvinyl acetate — the adhesive that bonds cotton to plastic — releases volatile organic compounds on skin contact and near mucous membranes.
Sprayed crop
Conventional cotton is one of the most chemically treated crops on earth. Glyphosate and pesticide residues remain in the finished swab.
